We fall down, but we get up

Life has many ways to throw "curve balls" at you and along our way sometimes we fall down. No matter how we fall down, or how hard we fall, the truth is, it isn't how you fall, but it is how you get back up. Life is down right hard sometimes, but thank God that He loves us enough to help us get out of our situations. In Acts 3 the man who had been laying at the gate for most of his life finally was given something one day that would change his life forever. When he was told that all He had to do was get up because he was healed, he didn't believe it at first. Sometimes if we could just hear what the Lord is telling us to do instead of laboring in our mess forever, I bet some of our situations would change. It is time for us to get up. Some people say, "but I am at my last resort," or "You have no idea how deep i'm in over my head." Well good, because now you can meet a man named Jesus who will pull you out of that mess no matter how deep you are in. We may fall down, but a saint, a Christian is just someone who really gets back up.

Living the Buried Life

So many people in life have AWESOME goals, visions, dreams, ambitions, etc. However there are some people who just don't know what they want, and keep searching in different areas. The first thing we need to do is trust in the Lord with ALL our hearts, and not lean on our own (crazy) understanding.
With all these goals and dreams we have for our lives, not to mention the calling God has given us, we are sometimes distracted by what the Bible describes as the spirit of python. (Acts 16:16-18) We can not even see how slowly this spirit will wrap itself around us squeezing harder and harder until we are out of breath. (or spirit of God) Let me encourage you today to take hold of those things god has planned for your life and don't get caught up or slowed down by the python of the world. Luke 10 says we have the power and authority to tread or stump on the serpent. You have victory today is Christ, so run and live a life of dreams, not a buried life full of "as beens" or "once were's"

Search & Rescue

After reading and studying just to find out more about Jesus and the characteristics of Him I have found out that yes He was a nice and awesome man, but He did have some frustrations as well. One frustration I think He had was dealing with the fact that He just wants people to see what He can see.
We read in the Gospels man scriptures that talk about Jesus asking people why they can not see or understand what is going on around them. It is our duty and job to try and see what God wants us to see. He saw so many people who are lost and wants us as Christians to go out and search and rescue those that are separated from Jesus Christ. We are on a mission to be apart of the search and rescue team to reach out and and find those that are lost.
Why should we just sit back in our comfortable spot while some of our friends and family are struggling to stay above the water. it is time for us to go on search and rescue !!!

Read This!!!

Just finished reading Judges 4. Wow!!! If you have never read this before let me suggest that you first read it from the Message Bible. To just give you the gist...and let you know that God does give people (no matter woman or man) the strength and power to stand up for what they know is right, and to defend those they love. A woman named Jael allowed a man, (cruel man) who was running from another army, stay and take a "nap" in her tent. But wow was she cool...she said (Jeff's version) "I ain't' having any of this man's junk in my house." She stood up for what she knew was right and killed the man.

So today what are you defending? Or are you just giving into what is the cool thing to do?

Lets take a stand and defend what we know is the Godly way to live!!!

A lesson worth learning

It took me a while to realize in my life that all I had and was blessed with could have been taken away just like that, but I am so glad that God kept trusting in me and then one day...yep finally one day I understood how blessed I really have been.
What are you still learning and what do you see everyday in your life, but sometimes forget who gave it to you and how blessed you are to have it?
